This latest survey appears to mirror a previous one sent to developers, which was described on the Broken Silicon Podcast as one of the most comprehensive they had received from PlayStation. Host Tom speculated that it might reflect Sony’s uncertainty regarding their controversial decision.
Despite the backlash, Sony executives, including CFO Lin Tao, have reiterated their plans, stating in a July investor Q&A that they intend to “cautiously move this forward,” acknowledging the public’s strong opposition but maintaining their course.
