“I want to give you guys an update: First off, everyone that got a shirt got refunded whether they asked for it or not.”

Dave shared that he underestimated the video’s impact, initially thinking it might only reach 10,000 views. Instead, the video went viral, with a flood of responses and millions of views. He clarified that his intention was not to seek help but to share a story akin to a casual conversation at a bar. However, the situation escalated beyond his expectations.

The video also addressed the fallout from the financial mishap. Contrary to initial reports of being fired, Dave explained that the situation was more complex, involving the termination of a contract between two companies rather than a straightforward dismissal. He revealed that he owns multiple businesses, although not all are currently profitable.

“If my company lost a contract with this important company, then, I mean, how is that not being fired? Fine. I’ll be more specific next time.”

Regarding the AI-generated T-shirts, Dave acknowledged missteps in their creation and pricing. He admitted that using AI for designs was not the best choice, despite defending it initially. The backlash over the merchandise, which reportedly cost him another $10,000, led him to issue refunds, even though only about 100 people purchased the shirts.

Dave’s video sought to address the controversies surrounding the Mighty Mike Plays channel, but it remains to be seen if his explanations will satisfy the curious online audience. For those just catching up on this saga, the story of Mighty Mike Plays and the AI T-shirt debacle has become a notable online spectacle.
