“Pathé is investigating whether hypnosis can contribute to a new cinema experience,” the company stated.

Prior to viewing, attendees will undergo hypnosis once more to ensure they can watch the film with fresh eyes. While the idea is captivating, Pathé cautions that the effectiveness of this procedure is uncertain. The company has issued a disclaimer, noting, “Pathé accepts no liability for the outcome, the effect, or any other consequences of the hypnosis sessions.”

“Imagine not knowing the answers to these questions,” Pathé teases, referring to iconic film moments.

The experiment is scheduled for Monday, November 9, at Pathé Buitenhof in The Hague. As anticipation builds, movie fans are invited to ponder which films they would choose to experience anew. For those intrigued by the prospect, Pathé’s experiment offers a novel way to engage with beloved classics.
